Beans Filling

Beanbags are filled with green beans – that’s a myth! Ever since beanbags were introduced by the Italians in the 60s, the filling used has always been polystyrene beads. Our beanbags are filled with polystyrene beads measuring 4 to 6 mm. Over a period of time which also subjected to frequency and severity (weight of users :)) the beans will become depleted and your beanbag chair started to fall.

For your chair that has flattened with use, add more bean bag filler to restore it to its original fluff. The fill is fast and simple to insert for satisfying results. Together, these beans shift to conform to the shape of your body for soothing support. They’re also good for various craft and sewing applications.

BUT, how many kgs do you need for the beanbag? Here’s a simple formula to understand :

  1. Empty beanbag : 2 to 3 kg for normal size bean bag.
  2. Empty beanbag : 4 to 5 kg for supernormal size bean bags incl. big square beanbag.
  3. Refilling : 0.5 to 1 kg per beanbag (usual flat condition)
  4. Your beanbag filling is in liter? 100 liter is about to 1.3 kg

**(this estimation is solely based on our experience with beans)**
